COVID-19 Updates: 777 Fresno County Cases, 263 Recovered

As of Wednesday, May 6, the Fresno County Public Health Department has reported an additional 53 positive COVID-19 cases which brings the total to 777.

There has been 9 deaths so far relating to COVID-19 since the Stay at Home order was issued. No new deaths have been reported.

Fresno County Cases according to cities:

  • Sanger – 62
  • Selma – 61
  • Clovis – 43
  • Parlier – 32
  • Mendota – 29
  • Firebaugh – 21
  • Huron – 20
  • Kingsburg – 17
  • Kerman – 8

There are currently 505 active cases of COVID-19 in the county. 263 people have recovered from the virus. 114 have been hospitalized.

Out of the total number of cases reported, 293 were community spread or originated from an unknown source, 44 were travel related, 302 were spread by close contact and 139 are still under investigation.
