Spring is car show season. There has been a car show event somewhere in the valley for the past five weeks. During the weekend of May 6 and 7 there were two long-running shows to attend without entry fees.

The Mountain Valley Community Church held its long-running annual Show & Shine Car Show on Saturday, May 6.  If you want to get out of the valley and in the fresh mountain air this is the place to go. Each year they hold a raffle with great prizes to raise money for their community’s youth group. This year’s car show participants and spectators were generous and raised enough money for 40 kids to attend bible camp and other similar events.

On May 7, The College Church of Christ held its 20th Annual Sunday Spring Classic Car Show. This event is always held on the first Sunday in May. This is a family focused event and is one of the ways that the church serves their congregation and the local community. When this show initially began 20 years ago it was the first “no entry fee” show within the Clovis/Fresno area. This Sunday Spring Classic brings friends, neighbors and the community together.
