Delizioso! For those who don’t know, that means delicious in Italian. The English term just doesn’t do the authentic Italian cuisine you’ll find at Andiamo Ristorante Italiano justice. The scratch-made dishes you can order at this Clovis gem are better than Nonie’s.
Everything from Andiamo’s minestrone soup to the entrée staples like lasagna, calzone, spaghetti and fettuccine, is made with pride.
The fettuccine alla tequila I ordered was supreme—so delizioso I had to finish every bite even though I was absolutely stuffed toward the end of the meal. The pasta was paired with tender strips of sautéed chicken, roasted red bell peppers, onions and—my favorite—sundried tomatoes, and all were tosses in a divine tequila cream sauce.
Everyone else on the Roundup team seemed to enjoy their entrée just the same and though we all ate until we could hardly move, we still opted to try Andiamo’s famous desserts—the limoncello and the tiramisu. Both were worth the extra calories.
While the food alone is certainly worth the trip, Andiamo’s also offers a romantic ambiance for those on a date night—on Friday evening’s, you and your special someone will even be serenaded by an accordion player.
Not just for lovers, Andiamo’s is also the perfect place to bring your mom for mother’s day and treat her to a home cooked meal she didn’t have to prepare herself.
Publisher Donna Melchor and her daughter, our office manager Caitie Reeg, love treating themselves to Andiamo’s as part of their mother-daughter time. The duo used to make the trek across town to a very popular chain Italian restaurant, which shall remain nameless, before they discovered Andiamo’s, which is close to home, has a shorter lunch wait, and a far superior minestrone soup.
Whether you try it for Mother’s Day or make a reservation for a romantic Friday night dinner for you and your partner, Andiamo’s Ristorante Italiano is a fantastic choice.
