COVID-19 Update: Fresno County Surpasses 1,000 Cases

As of Wednesday, May 12, Fresno County has surpassed 1,000 cases totaling 1,014 according to the Fresno County Public Health Department.

Out of the 1,014 cases, 652 are actives cases. There has been 143 hospitalized from the virus with 349 people who has recovered.

There has been three deaths reported, bringing the total to 13 deaths.

  • Orange Cove – 45
  • Mendota – 33
  • Kingsburg – 23
  • Firebaugh – 24
  • Huron – 23
  • Kerman – 11

Out of the total number of cases reported, 400 were community spread or originated from an unknown source, 48 were travel related, 433 were spread by close contact and 133 are still under investigation.
