Clovis Museum receives donation to fix roof

Thanks to generous donations from organizations in the community, the Clovis Museum will soon be able to repair its outdated polyurethane roof.

On Wednesday, May 25, the East Fresno Rotary Club presented museum curator Peg Bos with a $1,000 check—enough to bring the museum up to the $5,000 total needed to do the repairs. Clovis Rotary had previously donated $1,000 as well.

Bos said she is grateful for the assistance from the Rotary and others who donated.

“It is good to be with good people who do good things in our community that has so many needs,” Bos said at the East Fresno Rotary’s May 25 luncheon. “Thank you Rotarians for all the years of service that you give, service before self. I wish the rest of the community would adopt your morals and your ethics. I understand you may be visiting the museum soon and I’ll take you up on the roof personally and show you where your $1,000 donation is going if you are so inclined. I do thank you and the museum members thank you. It is most generous. We are now over the top and can afford our roof.”
