Clovis Community College commencement set for Friday, March 19

Clovis Community College will hold its 2nd Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 19 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Peoples Church (7172 North Cedar Avenue) in north Fresno.

Former Lt. Col. Lorenzo Rios, a decorated veteran of both the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, will serve as the commencement speaker. Rios currently serves as the chief executive officer of Clovis Veterans Memorial District.

Clovis Community College, formerly known as Willow International, is the 113th campus of California’s Community College System. CCC serves approximately 10,000 students annually while being part of State Center Community College District (SCCCD), which includes Fresno City College, Reedley College, Madera Community College Center, and Oakhurst Community College Center.

A native of Woodlake, Daniel Leon is a recent graduate of Fresno State with a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. Daniel served as Sports Editor at The Collegian, Fresno State’s student-run newspaper, prior to joining the Roundup. Got a story idea? Email him at editor@clovisroundup.com
