The City of Clovis issued an order April 7 to close picnic areas, play structures and exercise equipment in city parks.

The order mandates that covered picnic areas with more than one table under a sheltered area are now closed. Play structures and exercise equipment are also off limits.

City parks and trails will remain open however, in order to allow residents to exercise.

The City continues to urge citizens to practice good hygiene and social distancing when out in city parks.

The City also stated that park bathrooms will remain open, but warned park goers that it is having difficulty keeping them stocked with soap and toilet paper.
