Clovis police officer Brent Drum was recently honored with the office of the year award for his service to the community.

Drum, a nine-year veteran with the Clovis Police Department, is a handler for K9 Jax (one of five canines on the force).

During a typical shift, Drum and Jax respond to calls that involve searching, reprimanding a bad guy, or just showing up to be a backup.

Prior to joining Clovis PD, Drum spent 10 years with the Kingsburg Police Department.
