All Valley Truck Show

By Paul Hinkle

The All Valley Truck Show was held March 12 at the Triangle restaurant at First and Barstow in Fresno. For those of you who may own a truck or are in the process of building, this show is one you want to be a part of. This was the second year for this annual event and the organizers want to continue holding this event the same time each year. Being one of the first shows of the season, it was a reunion of old friends and an introduction of those that were showing their truck for the first time.

I was surprised to see so many recently restored trucks each reflecting their builder’s own personal touch. It was interesting to see the use of after market products that gave each truck it’s own unique appearance. If you are planning on building or restoring your favorite truck, this show is the place to get a lot of fresh ideas for your special project. Prior to the All Valley Truck Show, owners never have had an event specifically for trucks as most shows only had one or two classes to compete in. This All Valley Truck Show is a good way to start the season off.

There are a couple bills you need to keep your eye on. Legislation S.B. 1239 to exempt all motor vehicles prior to the 1981 model year from the emissions inspection requirement will be considered by the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee on April 12, 2016. Current law requires the lifetime testing of all 1976 and newer model year vehicles. Send an email to . The second bill is A.B. 2837 introduced to require new car dealers to provide purchasers a written statement declaring it is illegal for manufacturers or dealers to void a warranty or deny coverage because aftermarket or recycled parts were installed or because someone other than the dealer performed service.
