Daniel Leon – Editor

Daniel Leon is a recent graduate at California State University Fresno with a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. Daniel served as the sports editor at The Collegian, Fresno State’s student-run newspaper. Daniel is from nearby Woodlake, CA, and is excited to become better acquainted with Clovis sports.

Paul Meadors – Sports Editor

Paul Meadors is in his 19th year as an elementary school teacher and currently serves as a Junior High athletic director and basketball coach in Traver, CA, in addition to serving as the Sports Editor for The Clovis Roundup. He graduated form Immanuel High School in 1989 where he was a four-year starter in baseball and accumulated a combined record of 62-6 in three years of playing basketball, which included a point away from playing in the state championship game his senior year. After attending Fresno Pacific College on a music scholarship, Paul coached baseball at Immanuel for six years and has continued to immerse himself in Central Section sports. He is also the author of the humorous book “Letters to eBay,” and he has recorded a piano album of his own compositions titled “Surviving the Storm.” He lives in Fresno with wife Lori and daughters Georgie, Alex and Ruthie.

Diana Giraldo – GFC Editor/Reporter

Diana Giraldo started working with The Clovis Roundup as an intern in the summer of 2015 and in the fall was brought on as a part-time reporter. Diana is currently a fourth-year student at Fresno State majoring in Journalism. She has served as a reporter and assistant editor for the university’s student-run newspaper, The Collegian. As a participant in the Journalism department’s highly selective and prestigious community journalism program, Diana’s work has also been published in several other publications including the Madera Tribune and the Sanger Herald.  

Billy Xiong – Ad and Production

Billy Xiong has been with Clovis Roundup since the fall of 2011. When he first started, he was only contracted to design ads for a small handful of clients. Today, he manages all ad designs, web content, as well as the build of the newspaper including the Clovis Chamber of Commerce’s monthly newsletter and special tabs for the City of Clovis. Billy is happily married to Tracie and has two children: Daughter Emery and son Nixon.
