Chapter 933 of the Fresno Vietnam Veterans of America has donated $500 to the Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch. The money will go for a special construction project Steve and his brother Don are working on: a horse washing and shoeing facility.

Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch director Guy Adams, his staff, and volunteers a readying the Ranch for the fall influx of visitors (veterans, children and parents) who will be visiting for camaraderie and therapy rides. A long-term project for the Ranch is the refurbishing of a large farmhouse leased by the Gallo Company for non-profit activities, in this case the housing and training of young veterans.

Coming up, the ranch will also host a dinner-dance fundraiser on Oct. 8 at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds.
