1st Annual Scarecrow Garden

The Clovis Botanical Garden is planning our First Annual “Scarecrow Garden” event and would like to invite you to join in the fun!

Businesses, organizations, families, and classrooms are invited to create a free-standing scarecrow on your own which will be displayed throughout the garden from October 17 to November 12 for a $20 tax-deductible donation. Provide a sign to accompany your scarecrow to advertise your affiliation. Bring your scarecrow to the garden October 10-14.

 

Blow your own Pumpkin @ Ballis Glass

Come learn the ancient art of glass blowing. In this workshop you will be creating a fun and whimsical hand blown pumpkin. You will create a whimsical pumpkin in a matter of minutes. 8 GUEST ARTISTS per 2 hour class.

Closed Toe Shoes REQUIRED, light cotton cloths prefered, and light refreshments will be provided.

Class times 4pm, 6pm & 8pm

Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk and 5K Run @ Clovis Rodeo Grounds

Step Up for Down Syndrome is the largest Down syndrome Awareness event in the Central Valley and serves as the primary fundraising event to support the programs and services provided by Down Syndrome Association of Central California. The day features a 5K Down Syndrome Dash (timed run/walk), a 1-mile awareness fun walk, exhibitor area, food vendor, Kid Zone, face painting, Live entertainment.

Gibson Farm Market’s Fall Festival @ Fresno State's Gibson Farm Market

Gibson Farm Market’s Fall Festival

This free, public event will feature a campus-grown pumpkin patch and free samples from the Fresno State dairy, meat, fruit, vegetables, nut, horticulture and food processing units managed by the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.

A kid’s zone will be open for face painting, crafts, prizes, campus farm animals and a chance to take a picture on a tractor.

Free Fresno State food samples will include the market’s popular raisins, and ice cream, sausage and beef snack sticks, raspberry tea, olive oil, chicken tortilla soup, cranberry sauce and other items. Wine tasting will be hosted by the Fresno State Winery from 12pm- 4pm.
