Clovis City Council recognizes Jeff Hensley

The Clovis City Council presented a proclamation to Jeff Hensley for his 10 years of service as the Clovis representative and Chair of the Fresno-Clovis Community Media Authority.

The city council presented the proclamation at its meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13, saying Hensley and his organization have been instrumental in the creation of the Community Media Access Collaborative that opened access to the residents of Clovis to express themselves creatively through digital memory channels.

The proclamation also stated that CMAC has been responsible for 2,500 hours of skill development and produced 5,200 hours of local programming which has been enriching to Clovis.

CMAC staff and volunteers have broadcasted countless cultural events which have resulted in national awards and high quality of life for Clovis, the proclamation added.

In addition to serving on the board of CMAC, Hensley has served on several other boards, including the boards of PrideStaff and Fresno County Workforce Investment Board.

He has also worked with Tree Fresno, Community Food Bank, Scrip Advantage, Farewell Nationwide Funeral Service, SeniorNet, the Center For Multicultural Collaboration and the Clovis TC3 technology infrastructure group.

Hensley is a founder of the regional chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
