Awards ceremony honors police department employees

During the March 2 city council meeting, Police Chief Matt Basgall presented a number of medals to those who protect and serve the community of Clovis during the police department awards ceremony.

Jeremy Edmonson was named Officer of the Year, and Dispatcher of the Year went to Brynn Provost. Professional Employees of the Year are
Valerie Maffei and Curtis Petrich, Part-Time Employee of the Year is Abby Tiscareno, and Volunteer of the Year is Scott Atkins.

Community Medals were awarded to Anthony Gonzales and Kelly Orender, and Jeremy Edmonson and John Gamez received Medals of Commendation.

Additional awards included DUI Awards to Nick Mason, Anthony Gonzales, Mark Bradford, Kedric Anderson and Sean O’Brien.

Unit Citation (New World) awards went to Calli Biaggi, Shannon Griffith, Tami Jensen, Melinda Flores, Curtis Petrich and Jim Munro. Unit Citation (Investigations) awards were presented to Jared Binford, Jeremy Edmonson, Chris Hutchinson, Phil Macy, Terry Fetters, Sandra Macy, Calli Biaggi, Ty Wood, Erica Binford, Tom Roberts and John Gamez.

In addition to the awards presentation, a swearing-in ceremony was held for Officer Kedric Anderson.
